Dr. Therese Nester from Bloodworks Northwest and a member of NWHRN’s Disaster Clinical Advisory Committee (DCAC) authored an article about the work of NWHRN. The article features the benefits of the DCAC in bringing clinicians, public health and other leaders together to discuss and develop a framework for managing scare resources in a disaster response, such as the Blood Products cards which outline strategies for different capacity scenarios. NWHRN is thankful for the time, energy and focused attention on issues from our members of DCACs.
