Hazard Vulnerability Assessments (HVAs)

Before disasters happen, The Network leads multi-agency and cross-jurisdictional initiatives across the region to prepare healthcare organizations and our response partners through collaborative planning, information sharing, engagement, training, exercises and advocacy.

To help assure preparedness and response activities align with identified healthcare and regional vulnerabilities, NWHRN collaborated with tribal, healthcare, public health, emergency medical services, fire and emergency management partners to assess hazards across Washington.

NWHRN has developed the following Hazard Vulnerability Assessment (HVA) to assist Washington healthcare organizations with their plans:

This HVA presents an analysis of hazards within the coalition service area in each of the following geographies:

Region 1 / North District – Island, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish and Whatcom Counties
Region 2 / Northwest District – Clallam, Jefferson and Kitsap Counties
Region 3 / West District – Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific and Thurston Counties
Region 5 & 6 / Central District – King and Pierce Counties
Region 7 – Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Kittitas and Okanogan Counties – Central WA
Region 8 – Benton, Franklin, Walla Walla and Yakima Counties – Central WA
Region 9 – Adams, Asotin, Columbia, Ferry, Garfield, Lincoln, Pend Oreille, Spokane, Stevens and Whitman Counties – Eastern WA
