2018 Mass Care Forum

This year’s theme: “Leveraging government and non-governmental partnerships in Mass Care”

Save the date and register for the free Mass Care Regional Forum on Thursday, May 17, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm with an optional Mass Care 101 session at 8:00.* Our location is Redmond City Hall, 15670 NE 85th St, Redmond, WA., 98052

This year’s program will provide real world experience and lessons learned from individuals who responded to the hurricanes of 2017. Our presenters include Danielle Bailey, FEMA Region 10 Disability Integration Specialist, Todd Holloway, The Center for Independent Living, and Shaun Jones, The Salvation Army.

The panelists will address:
· Assessing best practices that can be adopted locally
· Implementing Multi-Agency Shelter Transition Teams
· Responding in resources starved environments
· The importance of advance planning, establishing MOUs
· Lessons learned that can be applied here in Washington

This year’s event is hosted by the King County Mass Care Workgroup and the Disability Advisory Group, which is a partnership between emergency management professionals and disability service organizations and the communities they serve.
