April 3, 2024 – Elya Baltazar, District Manager and Northwest District Coordinator, led a breakout session during the Partners in Emergency Preparedness Conference in Tacoma, Washington. Elya’s presentation, “Bridging the gap: Connecting local response and patient movement with healthcare partners,” provided insights into the network’s work coordinating and engaging with various response agencies and healthcare partners. To illustrate this collaborative work, Elya detailed real-life incidents involving patient movement, family reunification, and situational awareness.
