SUMMARY:MGT-347 ICS Forms Review
DESCRIPTION:The ICS Forms Review course is a 4.5-hour workshop that provides emergency response supervisors and mid- to upper-level managers with a detailed introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS) forms used in the development of an Incident Action Plan (IAP) and/or Coordination Action Plan (CAP). Participants will examine the primary forms used in an IAP/CAP\, as well as supporting and other utility forms. \nIn addition\, participants will review the planning process and where\, within that process\, the forms are filled out and by whom. The workshop includes a practical application designed to instruct participants in the development of Specific\, Measurable\, Action-oriented\, Realistic\, and Time-based (SMART) control and management objectives. \n\nIncident Action Plan Forms (ICS 201 – 207)\n\nWriting SMART objectives activity\n\n\nUtility Forms (ICS 211\, 213\, 213 RR [USCG]\, and 214)\nIncident Action Plan Support Forms (ICS 215\, 215A 233)\nICS Forms and Planning Process\n\nParticipants should come from middle and senior management. This means emergency response managers\, first-line supervisors\, and administrators who will function as Incident Commanders (IC)\, Unified Command (UC) staff members\, Emergency Management Coordinators\, command and general staff members\, or EOC staff members. \nCourse manager:\nStephanie M. SUMMARY:ATC-20\, FEMA P-154 Combo Course
DESCRIPTION:ATC-20\, Procedures for Post Earthquake Safety Evaluation of Buildings. \nThis course provides instruction on rapid and detailed evaluation procedures for evaluating earthquake-damaged buildings and posting them as INSPECTED (apparently safe\, green placard)\, LIMITED ENTRY (yellow placard)\, or UNSAFE (red placard). The training provides examples which allow attendees to evaluate building damage conditions\, assess the overall risk from the damage\, and recommend which of the three placards should be posted on the building. These evaluations and placards can be used in planning and executing evacuation\, re-entry\, and rebuilding strategies. \nFEMA P-154 Rapid Visual Screening of Buildings for Potential Seismic Hazards. \nThis course provides instruction on how to identify potentially hazardous buildings before earthquakes occur. The training covers methods and processes that enable personnel to rapidly identify\, inventory\, and screen local buildings according to their expected safety and usability during and after earthquakes. Local officials can use this data to plan and prioritize further engineering and vulnerability analysis\, emergency-response needs\, and mitigation projects. \nThe target audience for this course includes building officials\, engineers\, architects\, building owners\, emergency managers\, risk analysts\, and other interested citizens and volunteers. \nCE hours: 8 \nPriority seating is given to those residing in Washington State Homeland Security Region 1 (Whatcom\, San Juan\, Skagit\, Island\, and Snohomish Counties). \nChalice Dew-Johnson\nWhatcom County Sheriff’s Office\nDivision of Emergency Management\nOffice: (360) 676-6681\ncdjohnso@co.whatcom.wa.us

SUMMARY:FEMA P-154 (potential seismic hazards) and ATC-20 (post-disaster screening)
DESCRIPTION:**Rescheduled from March 27 to May 1** \nTraining description:\nTraining on the third edition of FEMA P-154\, Rapid Visual Screening of Buildings for Potential Seismic Hazards\, provides instruction on how to identify potentially hazardous buildings before earthquakes occur. The training covers methods and processes that enable personnel to rapidly identify\, inventory\, and screen local buildings according to their expected safety and usability during and after earthquakes. Local officials can use these data to plan and prioritize further engineering and vulnerability analysis\, emergency-response needs\, and mitigation projects. This training is based on the third edition of the document published by FEMA in January 2015. Although some of the material remain unchanged from the Second Edition FEMA P-154 (published in 2002)\, the Third Edition provides major enhancements. Training on the ATC-20\, Procedures for Post Earthquake Safety Evaluation of Buildings\, provides instruction on rapid and detailed evaluation procedures for evaluating earthquake-damaged buildings and posting them as INSPECTED (apparently safe\, green placard)\, LIMITED ENTRY (yellow placard)\, or UNSAFE (red placard). The training provides examples which allow attendees to evaluate building damage conditions\, assess the overall risk from the damage\, and recommend which of the three placards should be posted on the building. These evaluations and placards can be used in planning and executing evacuation\, re-entry\, and rebuilding strategies. \nTarget audience:\nThe target audience for these trainings includes building officials\, engineers\, architects\, building owners\, emergency managers\, risk analysts\, and other interested citizens and volunteers. \nRegistration:\nTo register for these trainings\, please follow this link. \nFor questions or additional information\, please contact the course manager\, Chalice Dew-Johnson at (360) 676-6681 or cdjohnso@co.whatcom.wa.us. \n
