DESCRIPTION:This first in-person meeting since the beginning of the pandemic will provide an extraordinary opportunity to reconnect\, reflect\, and reimagine preparedness moving forward. While we continue to combat COVID-19 and concurrent all-hazard events\, it is critically important to come together as a professional community to assess where our preparedness and response efforts have fallen short\, met the mark\, or exceeded expectations\, and to explore opportunities to refocus\, plan\, and reimagine the future. \nThe 2022 Preparedness Summit\, Reimagining Preparedness in the Era of COVID-19\, will provide an opportunity to reflect on lessons learned from current and previous responses\, and highlight tools\, resources\, and learnings that we can apply into the future. \nThere are a range of registration types available—including virtual—to meet your specific needs. \nMore information can be found here. \nRegistration link here. \nThe Preparedness Summit is the first and longest running national conference on public health preparedness. Since its beginning in 2006\, the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) has taken a leadership role in convening a wide array of partners to participate in the Summit; presenting new research findings\, sharing tools and resources\, and providing a variety of opportunities for attendees to learn how to implement model practices that enhance the nation’s capabilities to prepare for\, respond to\, and recover from disasters and other emergencies.
