SUMMARY:Monoclonals and More: Issues and Opportunities with Early COVID-19 Treatment Options
DESCRIPTION:In the Updated COVID-19 Treatment Guidelines on Prioritization of Anti-SARS-CoV-2 Monoclonal Antibodies for the Treatment or Prevention of SARS-CoV-2 Infection when there are Logistical or Supply Constraints\, the COVID-19 Treatment Guidelines Panel recommends the use of anti-SARS-CoV-2 monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) for individuals who are at high risk for progression to severe COVID-19. \nPresenters on this webinar will review some of the most current recommendations for use of mAbs and upcoming therapies and the challenges and opportunities that they may pose in conjunction with mAb and other treatments (e.g.\, prioritization and distribution). Speakers will also highlight operational principles for a scaled strategy for use of these therapeutics in a scarce resource situation. \nMore information can be found on this flyer. \nRegistration page \n

SUMMARY:Webinar: ASPR TRACIE Healthcare Challenges after Radiological Incidents
DESCRIPTION:While there is an abundance of resources geared towards healthcare\, public health\, and emergency management professionals planning for a large-scale radiological release or nuclear detonation incident\, concrete planning remains challenging and few jurisdictions have detailed plans. Power plant incidents\, radiation dispersal devices\, and improvised nuclear device detonations result in very different injury/exposure patterns and response planning must account for all of these. \nOn July 11\, from 2:00-3:15 PM ET\, ASPR TRACIE is hosting a webinar focused on the impacts of radiological incidents on health and healthcare planning strategies. Panelists will also share guidance and lessons learned from recent exercises and research in assessing\, triaging\, treating\, and following-up on casualties of radiological and nuclear emergencies. \nRegister for this webinar today (limited to the first 1\,000 registrants)! \nDepartment of Health and Human Services (HHS)\, Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR)\nTechnical Resources\, Assistance Center\, & Information Exchange (TRACIE)\n1844-5-TRACIE (587-2243) | askasprtracie@hhs.gov | asprtracie.hhs.gov
